To build a strong website that lures lots of visitors, there’s just one place you want your website to be. That’s on Page One of Google, the Granddaddy of all search engines.

When viewers search for your main keyword phrases, ranking in position 1-3 on that first page is akin to finding the Golden Fleece. Except in this case, it’s the “Google Fleece.” Same thing.

But if Google Fleece is the prize, there’s an incredible amount of struggle going on out there as businesses attempt to achieve that Page One, Position One ranking. And not just struggle…but frustration, too. It’s estimated that over 95% of all websites fail because they just don’t know what it takes to get top search engine rankings.

So what DOES it take, anyway?

That’s what this blog is all about. We had considered taking one of our current clients, such as the financial management group or the New Jersey air charter company, and detailing how we brought them up through the ranks. But ultimately we decided to start from scratch.

We’re going to take a brand new website and report on what we’re doing to bring it up from complete anonymity to (hopefully) Page One prominence. It won’t be easy. Our chosen product category has over 12,300,000 competing pages on Google. So as the new kid on the block, that puts the odds against us at 12 million to 1.

To beat those odds, we’re going to utilize everything we’ve learned in 15 years of Search Engine Optimization experience. We’ll use all the latest (white hat) techniques and some cool software programs, as well. If you follow us, you just may pick up a point or two that can help your own site.

And if you’ve got a good SEO tip or suggestion for us–or if you completely disagree with what we’re doing–let us know. Your comments are welcome.
